Snacking is so important and keeps us going between meals. I love to snack and here is an idea for another snack that can easily be taken on the move with you or had at home. I won't take any credit for this idea as it is a famous healthy snack but it is one of my top snacks!
All I have done is chop an apple and put some peanut butter on oatcakes and added a bit more protein in the form of a mini cheese.
Such a simple snack that provides some key nutrients and should keep you going for a while.

Challenge Tuesday
I'm not superfit or super healthy but I really try to be! I want to be fitter and healthier but I know that setting unrealistic targets and goals will only lead to disappointment so I set small challenges and write them down as it helps to look at your achievments and spurs me on to gain more!
So this week I decided to do challenge Tuesday which is where I set mini goals for the week and let you all know next week if I did them and would love some of you to join me too.
Here is this weeks challenge:
1) A zumba class or 30 minutes mad dancing at home!
2) 3x 30 minute brisk walks/gentle jogs (whatever gets the heartrate up and keeps it up for those 20 minutes.
2) A 20 minute swim or bikride.
So that is it, it's 3 hours out of your week and if my maths is correct that's 1.79% of your week which when put like that seems like nothing.
I would love you to join me in this challenge and to suggest more that we can do.
Good luck and let me know how you get on x

Charity shopping
I have to admit I used to be a bit of a charity shop snob, I would happily donate but for some reason never ventured into them. As I got older I began to really enjoy having a good look around them and found some great bits and pieces.
The last few weeks I have found a couple of wardrobe staples for me I wanted to share with you.
I am awful at photographing clothes (one of the many reasons I don't ebay anything!) but my top buy was a Warehouse denim jacket which was £8. This is a great price for such an essential part of my warbrobe staples that I was chuffed with it.
Then I brought a Mango basic striped jumper for £3-again nice for something I will get a fair amount of use out of.
Then I noticed another denim jacket in another charity shop for £4.50 but this time it was a cropped Primark one, again I felt I would use it a lot over spring/summer.
Then I picked up a couple of longer shirts that I may give back to charity as I'm not sure about them but again for a few pounds and a few pounds that goes to great causes I think you can't go wrong. These photographed so badly I won't put the photographs up!
What has been the best buy you have got from a charity shop? x

Healthy snack idea
Ok so I like to snack, I think most people do and I find it really difficult on my day off to not pick at whatever I can find! I try to overcome this by having lots of ready prepared snacks or snack out on the counter and then if I want to pick I tend to gravitate more for things that are out!An idea I started using at Christmas seems to have helped me a lot is nuts! Everyone knows the health benefits of nuts and how having a handful with your snack is beneficial to you. The best nuts are still in their shell so when the supermarkets put them out in November I started to put them out too!
I leave this out on the counter and it has stopped my unhealthy nibbling habbits! It takes me so long to crack the second nut while I'm eating the first one that I don't overeat and the health benefits are great!
What snacks do you have? x

Healthy lunch idea
I get very bored f always having the same things for lunch and I went to my friends for lunch the other day and she served up a lovely lunch which I had today minus one thing!
As you can see I have a quite large salad that contains lettuce, cucumber, red and yellow peppers, tomatoe and avocado, this was topped off with a balsamic glaze.
Then I had some wholemeal pitta strips with a lemon and corriander humous which provides a longer lasting fullness.
The only thing my friend did differently was a lot less salad but she had some falafel with it, which is delicious!
I'm always on the hunt for new lunch ideas, what do you have when you are at home for lunch? x

Glossybox April 2012 edition
Beause of my love for organic and natural products this months box was perfect for my taste.
In a 100% biodegradable box, it claimed it was bursting with ethical goodies and I couldn't wait to dive in!
The Caudalie Vinosource SOS thirst quenching serum (phew!) is a newly launched product and says it is extremely natural and plant-based. As it is a serum it is to be used under moisteriser. This has a light woody scent to it and smelt very natural and organic. It sunk into the skin beautifully and I will give it a try soon.

The Inika cosmetics certified organic eyeliner in 12 purple minx. This seemed like a smooth eyeliner, I can't say much else on it without using it a few times but the colour seemed nice and different, I'm not sure I would use it much but it is a handy product and colour to have in case.
Monu professional skincare Moisture rich collagen cream. I was using a Monu moisteriser I got given a while ago but I can't remember why I stopped, however this cream says it will smooth fine lines and is to be used in the morning which is interesting. It sunk into my skin beautifully and I will try it out soon.
Figs and Rouge lip balm. Everybody has heard of this brand and it did the rounds in a latest in beauty box but as I don't get that box I wished I had! This smells of very mild toothpaste (kind of milk teeth!) and for me being a lip product junkie I'm sure this will get lots of use.
Burt's bees naturally nourishing milk and honey body lotion. Another very famous brand and a great size sample from them. This has the classic Burt's Bees milk and honey scent to it, I think most people will be able to use this or will know a fair few people who would like it!
Did you get the same in your Glossybox this month and what did you think of it x
